About Mcebisi Asande's work:
Photo Theme:
Waste and land pollution
Photo Story:
What ispired the photo is the urban and street culture (when you look at the model) and artistic expression that you can turn waist into an Art form (when you look at the environment) . The cardboars were just lying around, people saw it as just waste (of which it was) but me and my model we saw it as Art. With the overlay of two photos I wanted him to be in different postures just to add that Art in the picture.
How long has Mcebisi Asande loved photography:
For 7 years
How they discovered their passion for photography:
When I was first introduced to a camera (Nikon, I can't remember the model) it was in 2019 and that's when I suddenly fell in love with it. Basically there was a club that was opening so the owner wanted a photographer I told her I'd do the job, I didn't know the settings and everything all I knew was the shutter but then YouTube changed everything as I learned more of. For almost two years I was taking pictures there sometimes I'd take the camera without the owner's concern cause she bought it and I'd take my own pictures on the side until I was doing matric and desided to leave the job and the camera. In my gap year my Uncle saw my passion and vision with photography so then he bought a Canon 250d which I'm usinng till this day. The Passion will forever be there.
