The people on photo are young and upcoming artists. They had released a new song called 'Sunrise'. And then, we had this impromptu photo shoot at Campus. This photo is the result of that shoot. I can say this was inspired by their song and the lyrics of their song.

How long has Thembeka Zulu loved photography:

I have always loved photography since my high school days. I used to be in front of the camera mostly. Fashion photography is what I was interested in. I would put on different outfits on the same day just to take photographs of myself. This was all during the Blackberry phone era.

How they discovered their passion for photography:

I discovered my passion for photography when I bought a new phone for myself late 2017. I was told it had a great camera,Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Plus. I didn't hesitate. I explored with it. I tried different kinds of photography like Nature/landscape, Portraits, food photography. I would take pictures of random objects and post it on my personal Instagram page. People, even from overseas, would like and comment on my post. They left positive feedback and that is what encouraged me to pursue photography. In 2019, I got my camera. A very old model, Canon EOS 350D. I started shooting with it, exploring with it and learning how to set the camera for different kinds of settings. I took this photo in 2022. Since then, I've been trying to upgrade my camera with no luck. I am still working towards that goal.

1. "The Master At Photos Contest" is a Competition fully sponsored by The Next Star Talent Hunt, a product of Balloon Technologies SA LTD. An Organization acting in compliance with International laws and the Laws of the Republic of South Africa.

2. It is an Online Talent Competition, which finds its operandi similar to other talent competitions like the America Got Talent show, The Big Brother Africa, MTN Project fame among others.

3. Registration to Participate in "The Master At Photos Contest" is Completely FREE. Note this.

4. Like in every other Contest, "The Master At Photos Contest" enshrines prizes for Its Winners.

1st Position: A Brand New Camera, A Premium Plaque and a Monetary award of R20,000 (Twenty Thousand Rand only)

2nd Position: A Monetary award of R4,000 (Four Thousand Rand only)

3rd position: A Monetary award of R2,000 (Two Thousand Rand only)

5. Winners of "The Master At Photos Contest" are selected by a Simple-Majority Voting system.

6. The Voting system entails a transparent form of anyone visiting a contestant voting link and then voting for them. 1 vote is R7 (Seven Rands only). And anyone can vote for a contestant as much times as possible.

7. Payment made as Vote on any Contestant (while in contest and afterwards) would not be refunded.

8. In the Policy of enjoining Transparency, Live updates on scores of each Contestant, are made Public and available on the Contest’s website via https://masteratphotos.co.za/contest - coupled with personalized mails and text messages forwarded to each contestant daily.

9. As by Law, Participation in "The Master At Photos Contest" is completely Voluntary and Contestant can discontinue at anytime, with the Caveat of Votes counted, being lost and not refunded.

10. "The Master At Photos Contest" acts in Good faith in Accordance with International Laws and the Laws of the Republic of South Africa.
