About Kaveer Gangaram's work:
Photo Theme:
The Heart Through The Machine
Photo Story:
In a city of eight million people, finding a moment of perfect alignment is nearly impossible. I centered this photograph on the Empire State Building, not just as a landmark, but as a destination seen through a massive steel needle.

By positioning myself in the exact center of Washington Street, I wanted to use the Manhattan Bridge as a literal window into the past. The bridge, with its heavy industrial rivets and cold blue-grey steel, represents the strength and grit of the city's infrastructure. But tucked perfectly within its arch is the spire of the Empire State Building, glowing with an elegance that has defined the skyline for nearly a century.

This image is about the focus required to see beauty through the chaos. It captures the intersection of two eras, framed by the red brick of Brooklyn and the green of the trees, all leading to that one central point of light. It is a study of how New York’s history is stacked, layered, and if you stand in just the right spot perfectly centered.
How long has Kaveer Gangaram loved photography:
I have loved photography from 3 years old. I used to steal the camera from parents to take photos. 15 years later I still have the same love for photography that I had back then.
How they discovered their passion for photography:
I first discovered my passion for photography when I was 3, but obviously I wasn’t taking high quality photos, fast forwarded to 2020 is when I got into it with my cellphone. During the lockdown I would sit outside and take photos of the plants and nature in my garden using my Samsung A51. Fast forward again to 2022 I had gotten an iPhone 13. This made me even more into photography and capturing my surroundings in the best possible way. I really loved shooting cars back then. 2024 came and I learned how to fully master the Nikon D5000, the same camera I would steal from my parents at age 3. I learned the inside and outs of this camera and started shooting professionally. Doing students matric dances. Birthday parties, Sport Photoshoots, ETC. once I learned how to master the camera I knew this is what I want to keep doing, Taking photos and sharing what my eye sees. During 2025 I upgraded my camera to the Canon EOS R50. Not to long after that we traveled to New York. This is where I captured my best state of the art images.
