About Tahir Bayat's work:
Photo Theme:
The theme is stepping into confidence. It captures a calm moment where youth meets maturity, showing confidence without trying too hard!
Photo Story:
This photo was inspired by the moment after attending a graduation gala focused on confidence building. Once everything slowed down, there was a sense of ease and self-assurance that stood out to me. Seeing my brother-in-law in that moment made it feel even more meaningful, and I wanted to capture that relaxed confidence, not the event itself, but the feeling that came after it.
How long has Tahir Bayat loved photography:
I only started loving photography recently. When people around me noticed I had a knack for capturing moments, it encouraged me to take the leap and start a small photography page to see where the journey could lead!
How they discovered their passion for photography:
I discovered my photography journey completely by accident. On Christmas Day, my other brother-in-law was hosting a baby shower for his expected child, but every photographer he contacted was unavailable or taking the day off. As the day got closer, he was left without a photographer, and I didn’t want him to miss capturing such a special moment. On impulse, I borrowed my cousin’s Nikon camera, knowing almost nothing about photography, and stepped in to help.

After the event, I sent him the photos, and the reaction from him and the family genuinely surprised me. Their encouragement pushed me to start a small photography Instagram page, begin learning more, and take this new interest seriously. I’ve since bought my own pre-loved Canon EOS 2000D as a starter camera, and what started as helping out has turned into a passion I never expected to find!
