About Jesse Konyane's work:
Photo Theme:
Fashion Photography
Photo Story:
A lot of people love the pictures I take with my phone—from commuters on their way to work to Christians praising the Lord on Sundays at church. None of this would be possible without my mom, friends, and supporters.

In 2018, after a year of begging in high school, my mom finally bought me a Canon 2000D (Rebel T7). That’s when my journey truly began. I started with street photography, roaming the city with a few friends, capturing moments no one else noticed. Like the fine stitching on clothes.

Fast‑forward to 2022, I was accepted into art college and couldn’t put the camera down. I fell in love with editing and decided to launch a clothing line under the same brand that started in 2018, Kodora's Eye. I wanted something different—a blend of minimalism, fashion, and studio photography. My two friends and I imagined a luxury, slightly artistic outcome for every final image.

This is one of the first shots I took for the brand in a studio. Its inspiration is growth: from a single camera on the streets to finally collaborating with artistic visionaries in a studio setting.
How long has Jesse Konyane loved photography:
Since 2017.
How they discovered their passion for photography:
I discovered my passion for photography when I was in highschool. My friends loved the way I took photos and in return I enjoyed the expressions they would make when they first saw the image.
