About Robin Francis's work:
Photo Theme:
The photo focuses on the gaze of the leopard.
Photo Story:
Leopards are a truly illusive creature to see in the wild, let alone photograph. I am attempting to build an Instagram following using my photography, in an attempt to bring more people closer to nature and to eventually, hopefully, drive the concept of conservation through education using my platform. The photograph itself, especially being of a leopard, is instrumental in increasing the attention my account receives in pursuit of growing my following and auidience.
How long has Robin Francis loved photography:
I have always been fascinated by photography- but only in the past 9 months had the opportunity to properly start pursuing it as a hobby.
How they discovered their passion for photography:
I started working on a new Nature Reserve in the Limpopo province in 2025, as part of the job, I had access to a used and abused Nikon D5500, I started out using that camera and playing with to figure out all the different settings. Shortly after, a colleague of mine offered me an unbeatable deal on a Nikon D750 which I spent the past 6 months paying off and using, and over the last 9 month period I have spent as much time as possible trying to learn and better my photography skills.
