About Kishan Sivparsad's work:
Photo Theme:
Learning about the culture of other nations when travelling
Photo Story:
This photo was taken on my first trip to Singapore with my family. Marina Bay Sands stopped me in my tracks, seeing the scale of it, the way the iconic hotel stood tall above the skyline, and I found myself reaching for my iPhone constantly throughout the trip, chasing that same feeling in every building I saw. This shot is a good example of what I love most about photography such as architectural detail and the story a structure tells just by how it's built. Looking back, this photo marks something bigger than the trip itself, as it was one of the sparks that pushed me to start my travel brand after I lost my job. It's a reminder that I can build something new out of what I love.
How long has Kishan Sivparsad loved photography:
I have loved photography from the time my dad got me my first camera at the early age of 12 years old.
How they discovered their passion for photography:
I discovered my love and passion for photography by doing something so simple. Taking photos of what I loved to see. I enjoyed capturing the moments with my family members birthdays, to when we would take a road trip and my dad would teach me how to take a picture of the mountains using his DSLR.
