I captured this photograph during my first visit to Barcelona with my family. While the city is known for its vibrant streets and remarkable architecture, this sculpture stopped me in my tracks.

I was captivated by the contrast between the immense sky above and the intimate moment below. Even though it is carved from stone, it communicates grief, love, and tenderness with incredible realism.

This image represents what I love most about photography, finding quiet moments within busy places. It reminds me that emotion can exist in the most unexpected forms and that a photograph has the power to preserve not only what we see, but also what we feel.

How they discovered their passion for photography:

I discovered my passion for photography when I went on my first trip to Washington DC when I was 7. My dad had a camera and I was always intrigued with watching him changing the settings and taking pictures. He gave me the camera one day and I started taking pictures of anything and everything in D.C. the buildings, streets, the people, my family. I got to capture that raw emotion and storytelling. Since then I started taking candid pictures of my family, friends and anything that captured me and spoke to me.
