Early one morning on the South African savanna, while driving through the bush, we spotted four cheetahs—a mother and her three cubs—prowling through the grass as the sun rose.

How long has Braden Lloyd Smith loved photography:

Ive always been partial towards photography it allows me to capture special moments to remember later, but within the past few years and fallen in love again helping me to live in the moment and be ready for unexpected moments.

How they discovered their passion for photography:

I've always been my family's dedicated photographer for group photos but more recently I discovered astrophotography and became captivated by the incredible detail of space and the perspective it offers on just how small we are in the universe. I wanted to create those kinds of images and experience the reward of capturing them through my own effort.

While astrophotography encourages me to look up and appreciate the bigger picture, nature photography reminds me to zoom in and notice the minute details. Holding a camera allows me to slow down and truly live in the moment, focusing on the small things I might have otherwise missed and appreciating the beauty that's hidden in plain sight.
