About Ntobeko Mdlalose 's work:

Photo Theme:

Wildlife - Being at one with nature

Photo Story:

It was my first time in the Kruger, on a self drive and I was highly anxious as I was afraid of encountering big animals such as elephants and rhinos and putting myself and my fiancé in danger. Briefly after starting the drive, every single car was taking the same route and I decided to take a different road to avoid traffic. About 5 seconds into that road, I encountered this Elephant and I froze. But it didn't attack, it didn't move. It just stared at me and something about it just put me at ease, like it was telling me to relax and take in the moment. I pulled out my camera at took the picture, and funny enough after driving off, multiple cars proceeded to follow me to see what I stopped for and the elephant walked away.

How long has Ntobeko Mdlalose loved photography:

The earliest I can remember would be from 2004.

How they discovered their passion for photography:

My mom had an LG T5100, which could flip and mimic and actual camera. As a kid I'd love taking photos and video.Picture of family and friends smiling, having a good time. It was a passion that I always wanted to explore and create art that makes people feel warm and happy. I want really show people just how precious everything we have is.
