About Zamashenge Buthelezi's work:
Photo Theme:
The beauty of (a changed or different) perspective.
Photo Story:
Nature is always interesting to photograph. Sometimes beauty isn't found in the newness of something, but rather, the shift in perspective of how you view it. The network of shapes, light and possibility pictured came to be just by me looking up through the branches of a tree which was providing me and those around me with shade. Just by changing how I looked at (a part of) the tree, a new and perhaps unnoticed beauty was revealed. "Things are looking up!" is often used in motivational terms, and it can also be used as a reminder to physically look up to see things differently.
How long has Zamashenge Buthelezi loved photography:
Since about 2014 when I was in grade 10.
How they discovered their passion for photography:
I started taking more pictures of random things that would not be considered "useful" but it felt necessary to capture (the beauty) of.
